Our family includes several pets; a playful, child-friendly dog, two old cats, and a rabbit. The rabbit is in a cage upstairs and the cats stay upstairs too, mostly. But our dog (a 65 lb. Australian Shepherd/Queensland Heeler mix) does have access to most of the house and yard. She is a sweet dog but very protective. She doesn't bite but WILL bark at anyone who approaches/enters the house, ESPECIALLY if you knock. If you aren't a dog person, you can text me when you arrive and I can put her in my bedroom. Otherwise, you can just walk right in and be prepared to give her a little attention. :)

I try to keep my house clean of pet hair, but if your child has strong allergies to pet dander, this may not be the best choice for your childcare setting.

If your child suffers from seasonal allergies, please let me know. I will work with him/her on covering their mouth, blowing their nose and washing their hands. If he/she requires daily medicine, please administer before arriving.
